Well, I made it! I'm officially on Sydney soil, and ready to begin my month long stay. First order of business, get my coffee situation figured out. In Chicago, I am partial to a place by my office called Bowtruss, on the corner of Kinzie and Wells St. I thought it would be wise to bring a few bags of coffee beans with me on my trip, just in case I couldn't find a good coffee joint on my journey. Well, no beans needed it turns out! As I've settled in to my new digs I've found a great little place called Cabrito Coffee! So, instead of using my Bowtruss coffee beans for my own fix, it dawned on me that I should introduce Bowtruss to Sydney! So that's what I did!!
I have officially traded 1lb of Ethiopian blend Bowtruss coffee beans, roasted locally in Chicago, IL, for a 1lb bag of Cabrito Coffee's best blend, for me to be picked up at a future date before my departure back to the States (so they're nice and fresh). Upon my arrival home, those beans will be delivered to my friends at Bowtruss for a little taste of Australia.
Also, a little side note to Bowtruss (if you're reading), you should make some of these yummy sandwiches to go along with your delicious coffee! See below!
All in all, it's been a successful first few days! I begin my customer interviews shortly, and will keep you up to date on the more "business" oriented side of things! Until next time!
