Position Description

VALKRE is looking for talented front-end engineers who obsess over clean code and deceptively simple user experiences.  Creating a great user experience is critical to VALKRE’s continued growth and success, as we want to build great products that our end users will love.  Front-end engineers will be an integral part of the engineering team and act as true user advocates.  We’re looking for candidates with outstanding specialized skills, but because we’re a small team the more hats you can wear, the better.

What You’ll Do:

• Work closely with the Engineering team to design and build new features.
• Obsess over user experience.
• Produce clean, semantic HTML and CSS.
• Design simple and intuitive Ajax interfaces.

Required Skills:

• Rapid prototyping (wireframes).
• HTML/CSS
• Javascript
• jQuery
• Familiarity with a .NET development environment.

Bonus Skills:

• UI/UX Design.
• Visual Design.

Senior .NET Developer

Position Description

Engineers at VALKRE will do more than just close tickets and put out fires.  They build new features, from start to finish.  Engineers are expected to be architects, implementers and product managers who help us figure out what to build, how to build it, and then work with a small team of engineers to get it done.  We’re looking for candidates with outstanding specialized skills, but because we’re a small team the more hats you can wear, the better.

VALKRE is seeking a Senior .NET/C# Developer who is comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have 5 plus years of experience developing web applications leveraging the Microsoft stack.  Experience with ASP.NET, C#, and SQL are all essential, but as long as you have experience doing complex web application development and thrive on learning new technologies to solve the problem at hand, you'll fit right in.

What You’ll Do:

• Take ownership and help test, release and maintain the code your write.
• Help design and architect applications features.
• Research new technologies that will help VALKRE remain competitive.
• Use your extraordinary communication skills to solve business needs and manage scope in a positive way.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years of commercial software development.
• Proficient with complete web application development stack, both front and back-end.
• .NET 3.5
• C#
• ASP.NET
• SQL and/or LINQ
• Object-relational DB development
• jQuery, HTML, CSS
• Ability to engage effectively at both the business and technical level.

Bonus Skills:

• Prior development experience for a SaaS company.
• Knowledge of enterprise systems, CRM, SFA, and ERP.
• Experience using data visualization solutions, such as Dundas.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and lead the creative direction for a rapidly expanding software solutions company.  Your talents in graphic design, visual communications and industry best practices will produce animated shorts, training content, software enhancements, marketing collateral, and other forms of online media.
